Institute
Ibn-e-Sina Institute of Technology sits in H-11/4, Islamabad. The institute brings specialized facilities for alloy development, processing and characterization under one roof — staffed to solve technical problems for industry, research establishments and academia.
Research and development lines include investment casting, alloy development, powder metallurgy, coating, magnet development, materials characterization, process-equipment development, and electromagnet development and calibration.
The working principles remain the brief: new technology, reduced cost, indigenous development and self-reliance — design, process equipment and test on one campus.
Rare-earth conversion, magnet grades and furnaces developed as in-house processes.
Local CIP, vacuum sintering and finishing for custom geometries.
Indigenous magnet, motor and process-equipment research for Pakistani industry.
Research lines
Each line supports the others — a single technical staff carries a material from alloy to measured magnet.
Compositions designed and melted in-house for magnet and powder work.
Powder preparation, CIP of green compacts and vacuum sintering.
NdFeB, SmCo, Alnico and ferrite grades developed to specification.
Ceramic shell moulds and vacuum casting with fine grain structure.
Ni, Cu, Zn electroplating and PVD on tools.
SEM / TEM, XRF, ICP, thermal analysis and magnetic test.
Development and calibration of field systems up to 11 tesla.
CIP, vacuum furnaces and pulsed supplies designed on campus.
Brief review, test planning and reporting for collaborators.
How we work
Describe the geometry, grade, temperature and duty cycle you need.
The team proposes a development or test route and the data you will receive.
Samples are made and measured; results are reported with the measured loops and figures.
